POLYURETHANE FLIP FLOW SCREENS

Flip Flow PU Mesh

Polyurethane flip flow screen mesh is a screening component manufactured from highly elastic polyurethane material, installed within tension-relaxation screening machines.

Introduction

Product Overview
P.U Flip Flow Screen Mats are engineered for high-performance material separation in industries such as mining, coal processing, recycling, and aggregates. Made from premium polyurethane (PU) elastomers reinforced with steel wire cores, these screen mats combine exceptional elasticity, abrasion resistance, and durability. Designed to withstand extreme vibration forces (up to 50G), they outperform traditional metal and rubber screens, delivering up to 8–10x longer lifespan and superior screening efficiency for dry or wet materials.

Key Features & Benefits

  1. Unmatched Durability & Load Capacity

    • Steel-Reinforced Structure: Integrated steel wire skeleton and high-grade PU elastomers ensure high tensile strength and resistance to deformation, supporting heavy loads and harsh operating conditions.

    • Extended Service Life: Lasts 8–10x longer than metal screens and 3x longer than stainless steel alternatives, reducing replacement frequency and downtime.

  2. Anti-Clogging & Self-Cleaning Design

    • 140° Tapered Apertures: Unique hole geometry prevents material buildup, ideal for sticky or damp substances like coal, wet ores, and sludge.

    • Dynamic Self-Cleaning: Secondary harmonic vibrations during operation dislodge trapped particles, maintaining 95%+ screening efficiency.

  3. Noise Reduction & Safety Compliance

    • Reduces operational noise by 5–20 dB compared to metal screens, ensuring compliance with workplace safety regulations.

    • Flame-retardant, non-toxic, and resistant to oils, chemicals, and extreme temperatures (-40°C to +80°C).

  4. Easy Installation & Low Maintenance

    • Embedded Bolt-Free Design: Utilizes hook-type or tension-clamped mounting systems (e.g., 90° side clamps) for quick installation and minimal maintenance effort.

    • Lightweight (density: 1.32 kg/m³) reduces strain on vibrating equipment, lowering energy consumption by up to 30%.

  5. Customizable Solutions

    • Aperture Sizes: Ranging from 0.1mm to 170mm, with options for square, round, or rectangular holes.

    • Compatible with all vibrating screen models, including flip-flow and linear motion systems.

Applications

  • Coal & Mining: Efficient dewatering, desliming, and grading of coal, iron ore, copper, and limestone.

  • Aggregates & Quarries: Precision screening of sand, gravel, and crushed stone.

  • Recycling: Separation of construction debris, industrial waste, and electronic scrap.

  • Power Plants: Coal classification and ash handling.

Technical Specifications

Hello everyone, today we'll introduce the FLIP FLOW vibrating screen mesh. This mesh is primarily used for processing difficult-to-screen materials such as highly viscous, high-moisture, and fine-grained substances, especially for grading medium and fine particles in high-moisture raw coal and coke.

This model features bullhorn-shaped mounting strips on both sides, employing a slot-embedded installation method. Each fixed and floating beam is fitted with bullhorn-shaped slots above, with adjacent screen plates sharing a common surface slot. Bolt holes are evenly distributed along both sides of the screen, utilizing a bolt-fixed installation: the screen is connected to the bolts on the screen beams via pressure strips, ensuring uniform force distribution across the contact area between the screen plate and beams.

TONDA brand  tension-release screen mesh is cast in one piece using MDI polyurethane raw material. The screen not only offers high wear resistance and excellent resilience but also exhibits superior flex resistance and high elongation at break. This design effectively prevents clogging, enhances screening efficiency, and ensures a long service life.

As a specialized manufacturer of polyurethane screen meshes, we produce various models and related products. Customization options include hole patterns, mesh specifications, and performance characteristics tailored to on-site conditions.

Features:

Its core characteristics stem from the combination of “tension-relaxation motion” (periodic expansion and contraction of the screen surface) with the unique properties of polyurethane material:
Superior Anti-Blocking Performance: The screen surface continuously expands and contracts at approximately 800 cycles per minute, generating high acceleration (up to 50G). This forces wet and sticky materials to rapidly stratify and detach from the screen openings, completely resolving clogging issues with fine, viscous, and wet materials (such as high-moisture raw coal and coal slurry).
High screening efficiency: The thin screen surface with high open area ratio (significantly exceeding traditional metal screens) combined with the high acceleration of the tension-relaxation motion significantly enhances material throughput. It is particularly suitable for grading fine-grained materials in the 0.1-30mm range.
Exceptional Wear Resistance and Long Service Life: Utilizing imported polyurethane material (or stainless steel mesh + polyurethane backing composite structure), it offers 5-10 times the wear resistance of metal screens and 3-5 times that of rubber screens. Its high tear strength makes it ideal for high-abrasion environments (e.g., mining, coal processing).
Lightweight and Energy-Efficient: Polyurethane's low density (approx. 1.32 kg/m³) makes it over 50% lighter than metal screens, substantially reducing machine load and energy consumption (10%-20% savings).
Resistant to Media and Corrosion: Withstands water, oil, weak acids, alkalis, and other media. Resistant to material corrosion, suitable for corrosive environments like chemical plants and mines.

Application Scenarios:

Polyurethane flip flow screens are specifically designed for wet, sticky, fine-grained, and difficult-to-screen materials, primarily used in the following industries:
Coal Industry: Dry screening of raw coal, lignite, and coal slurry (e.g., coarse coal slurry classification in coal preparation plants, dewatering of refined coal), addressing efficiency issues caused by clogging in traditional screens.
Mining and Metallurgy: Grading and screening of fine-grained ores like iron, copper, and aluminum, particularly suited for high-humidity, high-viscosity slurry materials.
Chemicals and Building Materials: Screening of chemical raw materials (e.g., fertilizers, soda ash) and building materials (e.g., cement, sand/gravel). Its resistance to media ensures stable performance in highly corrosive environments.
Environmental Protection & Solid Waste Treatment: Construction waste sorting, organic waste pretreatment, slag recovery, and material separation in complex operating conditions.

Key Advantages and Performance Characteristics of Polyurethane flip flow Screens

Compared to traditional screens (metal, rubber), polyurethane flexible screens offer advantages summarized as “Three Highs and Two Lows”:
High Anti-Blocking: High acceleration from oscillating motion completely resolves clogging issues with wet, sticky materials, boosting screening efficiency by 20%-30% (compared to metal screens).
High Wear Resistance: Polyurethane material + steel cord core structure delivers 5-10 times the wear resistance of metal screens, extending service life by 3-5 times.
High Adaptability: Suitable for difficult-to-screen materials like fine, sticky, or wet substances (e.g., wet coal slurry 0.1-30mm), whereas traditional screens only handle coarse, dry materials.
Low Energy Consumption: Lightweight design reduces screening machine load, cutting energy use by 10%-20%.
Low Maintenance Costs: Extended service life reduces replacement frequency, cutting maintenance workload by over 50%.
